he Bertoli family, the wheat, and Santa Luce

The Bertoli family has been working the hilly lands of Santa Luce since the end of the Second World War.

Three generations of Bertoli have been in agriculture for years, working according to traditional methods yet following the changes dictated by the passing of time, going from blacksmiths to agricultural mechanical workers and subcontractors until they turned into real owners and entrepreneurs with the creation of the Azienda Agricola La Ghiraia in the 1970s.

Since the 1980s, Giuseppe Bertoli has taken over the family business, developing both experience and in-depth knowledge of the land, crops, and cultivation practices, and consolidating his role in the area as a producer of the highest-quality wheat.

In 2013 the Bertoli family finally made their dream come true: “Pasta Bertoli” was born, today Molino and Pastificio sul Lago, a handmade type of pasta, a natural and healthy product of this land.

The Bertoli family

Giuseppe is the founder of Pasta Bertoli: thanks to an experience of generations, he has selected the grains of Molino and Pastificio sul Lago and takes care of them from sowing to growth, from the first to the last grain.

But Giuseppe is not only a grower of fodder but also of dreams, given that the idea of making artisanal and natural pasta has always been his passion.

And this pasta is the result of his intuition.

Silvia and Federica are instead the faces of the new generation of the Bertoli family: heirs of a tradition spanning over 60 years, today they support their father Giuseppe in the management of Pasta Bertoli, taking care of the sales department and administration office.
